NEPC primarily focuses on implementing efficient and effective programs aimed at protecting ecology, environment, and citizen's rights acknolwdging good governance and making the people self-reliant on basic services. The specific objectives of NEPC are to:

Launch awareness campaign through social mobilization on various issues of ecological and environmental degradation that originate as consequence of poverty and innocence on development perspective and assist them to conserve, manage and use of local resource in order to raise their financial status.

Indentify and plan various development programs to anchor by cross cuttings that protect existing ecology and environment and to implement them in a participatory manner.

Design and conduct training, research, studies etc in such sector as sustainable agriculture, forestry, alternative energy, source/technology, nutrition, public health, engineering etc with greater focus on children, gender isues, poverty, environmental balance and social sustainability.

Provide support services to local bodies and communities such sectors as agriculture, health, sanitation, nutrition, cottage and village industry, forestry and alternative energy, and encourage them to undertake feasible and appropriate enterprises.

Coordinate the progarms with national and international government and non-government organizations in the progarm site.
