Nepal Environment Protection Center (NEPC) is working in development field since last twenty-four years. So far it has completed five dozen of projects. It works in different aspects viz. research and studies/ monitoring and evaluation/ baseline studies, training, project service and management, gender with special reference to dairy, livestock, agriculture, health (maternal and child health), hygiene, sanitation, environment, forestry, water supply natural resource management, management information, cooperative etc.

NEPC has its office of about 1100 square feet at Mid Baneshwor, Kathmandu . It is well equip with enough space for meeting along with furniture/fixture. Necessary equipment like computer, printer, field accessories like camera, umbrella, ruck sac bags, sleeping bags, training equipment etc are available in sufficient quantity.

The organization has 25 members of professional experiences in diversified field. It has nine members in executive committee elected by the general assembly. In executive committee five including chairperson, vice secretary and treasurer are female. Three-member advisory committee advice and guidelines for the smooth running of organization as and when required.

NEPC has maintained a roster of consultants and experts and can pool them as and when it is necessary. Organization is registered in Inland Revenue office including VAT and follow prevailing Nepal Government’s financial procedure.

To reduce the management cost, it hires the experts for specific purpose in man days’ basis. In this regards, NEPC is back up by qualified/ experienced manpower.   • Strong development and process orientation with inter-disciplinary expertise that can relate to and integrate various dimensions of the projects;
  • Technical expertise and experience with proven track record of completing assignments with strict time constrains;
  • Strong ability to relate effectively and congenially with various interest groups at different levels of management and to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team;
  • Strong commitment to transfer skill and knowledge to others;
  • Ability to apply innovative ideas and strategies and work effectively even without close supervision; and
  • Familiarity with the government's sector policies, donor activities, local government, rural resources situation, INGO procedures, rural people's attitudes, culture, habits, beliefs, knowledge, perceptions and practices, etc.

So far NEPC implemented project of total value Rs. 30 Million and gain ample experiences on fund raising and management of fund. Being a Non Profit making organization, it has no balance amount in the bank but it can operate minor projects of its own capacity using its own human resources and physical facilities. NEPC's policy is to operate the projects by highly qualified and senior professionals. It is our policy to provide authority to deal with technical matter by the Team Leader and management aspect by the association management.
